Contract School Photography: Where the Money Is!
Hosted by George and Melinda Austin

This workshop is designed to give you the knowledge and tools to successfully enter and prosper in lucrative school photography market. While this is high volume photography, it does not need to be high stress.  With proper pre- Picture Day planning, you can have one of the higher dollars per hour business in the photographic industry.

We will cover:
Approaching schools with a proposal.
Creating School contracts.
Print packages
Using Millers Remote Suite Studio software.
Set up and workflow on picture day
Post production
School team photos and dance photos.
High School seniors.

High volume school photography is very different from boutique studio photography. Most of the work is in preparing for a fast moving day to ensure a smooth and happy experience for the students and photographers. Pre-K through 5th grade requires one set of interactions with students while middle and high school students need a very different approach. We will give you the best tips for engaging students that we have developed during the past 11 years.

High school contracts are very different from lower grades. Teams, dances, clubs and seniors. have many more events to photograph. We will show you our set ups and workflow for these different events. In our studio, we will have a senior model to photograph in studio and outside.

We will share what HAS and HAS NOT worked for us in the past, saving you from making the same mistakes. We are excited to share our many tips and tricks on how to best handle both seniors and their parents and to have the best possible sale.
