2019 PPANM Convention

Join PPANM as we “Celebrate Photography in New Mexico” at our annual photographic convention, February 8-10 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albuquerque.  Registration is open to all photographers across New Mexico and beyond.  The convention features three days of programs from four speakers plus the annual PPANM photographic competition and awards banquet.

Friday kicks off with Steve Kozak of Dallas, Texas sharing “The Secrets to Success” for professional photographer.  Friday night, we hear from keynote speaker, Jennifer Thoreson on “Fine Art Photography”.


Saturday morning begins with the annual PPANM photographic competition where participants put their best work forward.  Saturday afternoon, we hear from Jeff Johnson as he shares his approach to “Landscape Photography”.  Saturday evening, you will enjoy the awards banquet honoring the best image makers from the PPANM Photographic Competition.

Sunday, Kim Smith of Muskogee, Oklahoma spends the entire day taking us through “The Creative Process” and how she goes about creating her award-winning images.

PPANM is a non-profit, member run association serving professional photographers, part-time pros and serious photographic enthusiasts.  Our goal is to bring live photographic education and valuable networking opportunities for photographers across New Mexico and beyond.

PPANM membership includes discounted admission to:

  • PPANM Annual Convention – The annual convention features two to three nationally renowned speakers sharing their expertise on photography related topics. The PPANM convention includes a print competition, with awards given to top scoring prints. Social events are a big part of the convention, and there are plenty of those too!
  •  Workshops – PPANM also produces powerful, hands-on, one or two-day workshops to help you keep your skills sharp and your business on the cutting edge.
  • Safaris – From time to time, PPANM offers safaris and destination workshops to exciting locations throughout New Mexico and beyond.  The guided workshops feature education with fun and fellowship.
  • “Member Mentors” Workshops – These one-day workshops take place in June and July and are taught by PPANM members who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise with others to help you improve your skills, grow your business and build the sense of community with PPANM.
